Scientists take a step closer to growing new teeth

This month, scientists at Kings College London found that mouse stem cells can be used to grow new teeth. While it will be some time before a technique is developed for clinical use in humans, this is an important step towards a new era on the horizon in dentistry, when damaged teeth may no longer need drilling and filling, instead there is a possibility that they may be removed and regrown.
